KRAI DIGITAL-POETRY VOL.1
KRAI. DIGITAL-POETRY VOL.1

The first Krai collection of digital poetry. Created by poets who are, to varying degrees, a little out of their minds. Five games.
Curator: Ilia Mazo.

1) Trolleybus — a parable about the journey towards a dream. The dream takes the form of a Mountain.

You are a trolleybus. All your life, you have been going round and round your little town. If you set off on a journey, your passengers will be furious! But you will reach your destination all the same — and then they will sing.

About the journey, and the voices we hear inside our heads.

2) S pokoynaya komnata — an existential haiku. You cannot go outside without a hat.

Enter the room. It is warm, funny, sad, peaceful, loud and quiet. All your things are here. With time, they leave, leaving traces behind. The more you remember, the less room there is. Such a familiar shape — you have been here before, haven't you? Enter the room.

3) Cvetok — a dating simulator, a madness simulator, a simulator of floral revelation. Postmodern, psychedelic poetry.

After a long working day on the Plantation, you are in high spirits. The reason is an approaching date with your beloved. Your heart is burning, your cells breathe a little faster, the cityscape around you blossoms in a euphoric frenzy of bright colours. Something inside makes you think, feel, exist differently; your inner self seems, at last, to be beginning to bloom. But something is clearly missing…

A bouquet, probably: in your case, turning up for a date without one would be quite unethical. Fortunately, that has never been a problem for you. All you have to do is pick a few flowers…

4) ORG — a futuristic shooter-fable about the difficult everyday life of a censor in the near future

Congratulations! You have just moved up the career ladder! Your duties now include inspecting, sorting and analysing Objects passing through the Department of Cultural Quality Control. Be attentive: our clients' cultural enrichment is in your hands.

The future belongs to the Organisation. The Organisation is the Future.

5) Begushchaya stroka — a runner-lament about the night of reason and the impossibility of speaking.

Shortly before going to bed, you awaken a few words and write them on a scrap of paper. Then, already falling asleep, you try to remember, to grasp the order of the words, but…

Existence around you pulses; with every beat, it draws you closer to a world beyond words. And now it has unfolded so completely that there is nothing to say. The night is still young, and you continue on your way.

The collection was developed during the Krai digital poetry residency.
