IT’S SUMMER. Ghosts
A series of digital-art and glitch-art videos within Ilia Mazo’s digital opera IT’S SUMMER. Musicians wrote songs to verses from the poem IT’S SUMMER, while their avatars were abducted, taken into a digital environment and reimagined.

These videos reveal the mystical sides of game engines: moments when they answer with “ghosts” — bugs, glitches and entities that could never arise from the logic of the code. Music, the most elusive of substances, takes the role of these entities.

Game
A dacha, a midday nap, the record has ended and rustles on; you are eight years old. Sunlight has flooded the room. IT’S SUMMER is an indie game in the genres of sandbox, babushka and midday sleep. There is no goal or meaning in the game, only May tea with the tears of Princess Noori and an endless yellow field.
